Boston is at its most beautiful in the fall. As the leaves turn, Boston’s parks put on an unforgettable show, complementing the historic architecture. Speaking of an unforgettable show, I had the privilege of representing MDClone alongside our team, in-person and in Boston, for the first time in 2021 at the HLTH Conference. It was an exciting time to finally get together with the health-tech community and to talk all about healthcare innovation.
With over 5,000 attendees from all over the healthcare ecosystem we had a chance to hear challenges, successes and plans from vendors and attendees alike. We were able to connect to a broad base of healthcare executives face to face and discuss the many important healthcare challenges across the ever changing landscape.
I took home three valuable insights that I thought I’d share:
key insight #1
Healthcare organizations want to collaborate, but barriers remain in the way.
Healthcare Institutions are eager to share their knowledge and expertise, but data access is a BIG obstacle and at the root of many healthcare initiatives. Health systems are motivated to improve outcomes but it is not practical to share their data cross-institutionally. Partnerships, interoperability, and technology are key initiatives many healthcare institutions are adopting in order to overcome common barriers to data-sharing, collaboration, and innovation.
Overcoming barriers to healthcare collaboration is one of the powerful features of MDClone ADAMS Platform.

key insight #2
COVID taught us that innovation (and preparation) is key.
COVID-19 has taught all of us that we must be on our toes and innovation is the key to being prepared. Finding creative ways to access data and to untie the hands of our brightest minds will set us on a trajectory toward success. The pandemic taught the healthcare industry how to quickly collaborate across the world, and although there is still work to be done, the path forward is clear. Partnerships and speed-to-information is critical in order to find answers to save lives. While issues of the pandemic are still evolving, such as vaccine hesitancy and serving the underserved communities of the world, the healthcare industry quickly embracing innovative solutions to prepare for the next worldwide health crisis.
See how we’re helping the COVID-19 pandemic.
key insight #3
Synthetic data is a hot topic in healthcare.
Synthetic data is the lynch pin that will provide a stable playground for new discoveries and the sharing of insights that will accelerate real-world discoveries in healthcare. Synthetic data is a powerful feature of the MDClone ADAMS Platform, and enables secure, reliable data-sharing across internal organizations as well as with authorized partners.

proud to be a hlth sponsor
MDClone was pleased to be a Level 2 Sponsor at HLTH 2021 in Boston in order to support this fun, innovative large-scale health conference, one that truly connects some valuable companies to drive better ideas, partnerships, and conversation in the area of digital health.
Not only did I enjoy the in-person aspect of this conference (finally!), but I also appreciated listening to open, authentic discussions between key industry leaders, gaining new insights as to what this pandemic has taught the industry in regards to missed opportunities, preparedness, the importance of collaboration, and the future of digital health in regards to up-and-coming technology.
If you were able to stop by our booth, you got the chance to enjoy one of our customer MDClone Wellness Juice Shots – crafted specifically for HLTH attendees to enjoy while chatting in our booth.
THAT’S A WRAP
Thank you to the city of Boston and HLTH for contributing to keeping us safe and allowing us to get back to some level of normalcy during this time. The conversations and lessons we learned this week will fuel our pledge to create a safe environment for discoveries that protect our patients’ privacy and unties the hands of researchers and healthcare workers across the world.
Overall, it was fantastic to see our healthcare colleagues face-to-face at HLTH 2021 after a fully remote show in 2020. HLTH 2021 was filled with remarkable speakers, and we were happy to participate, support, and attend event. I look forward to seeing more new and familiar faces at the next industry conference.
