In this brief Q&A, Brad Morrow, Southeast Sales Director at MDClone, discusses MDClone’s connection with the Nashville Health Care Council, why the organization is critical to the healthcare industry, the importance of healthcare leaders’ involvement with organizations like the council, and the supporting role MDClone will play.
Q: How did MDClone get connected with the Nashville Health Care Council?
A: Having worked with the council for 3 years in a previous role, I was eager to continue my engagement when I joined MDClone last fall. After all, the Nashville area regards the council as one of the leading organizations for healthcare thought leaders. In addition, Josh Rubel had also identified this as an organization that he wanted MDClone to engage with. The council was mutually interested in MDClone’s participation, as council members had taken a trip to Israel in 2019. The council was excited to hear of our interest in joining, and I know MDClone is just as thrilled for the opportunity to help improve healthcare at a global scale.
Q: Why are these types of groups important to our industry?
A: Organizations like the Nashville Health Care Council provide a forum for thought leaders to come together and discuss industry challenges. The council has regular events hosting national thought leadership to discuss how their organizations are dealing with challenges, implementing solutions, and navigating the current political and economic environments. Being able to hear others discuss healthcare-focused topics and meet with peers allows leaders to collaborate and build strategies that will effectively drive the industry forward.
Q: Why should healthcare leaders get involved with local organizations such as this Council?
A: Healthcare is a unique industry with unique challenges. Organizations like the Nashville Healthcare Council provide a forum for leaders across the nation to discuss how they are facing and overcoming challenges and building their organizations to navigate the industry. Healthcare leaders must deal with economic, political, technological, and environmental issues while focusing on ensuring that the needs of patients are at the forefront of every decision made. Having a place to hear how others are dealing with these issues and having discussions around this are invaluable.
Q: How will MDClone support the Council?
A: As a member of the Nashville Health Care Council, we support their mission financially and will have the opportunity to sponsor organizational activities that will drive the future of healthcare.
